The City of Chandler Neighborhood Resources Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Housing Rehabilitation Analyst. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits.

Who we are looking for
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration with excellent construction project management skills, an ability to draft scopes of work, develop construction cost estimates, and conduct bid processes. Understanding of legal and loan process and documents is essential as well. Our new team member will be flexible, well organized, respectful and compassionate towards other and will embody the Team Chandler values.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field; and two (2) years of experience in residential construction at the skilled labor or contractor level, preferably in the area of rehabilitation single family residential units; and a Housing Quality Standards Inspector Certification within six (6) months of hire or promotion; and Uniform Physical Conditions Standards (UPCS) Training within six (6) months of hire or promotion; and a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) regulations
  • Eligibility determination experience
  • Experience developing Environmental Reviews that meets Federal, State and local environmental standards
  • Experience conducting home inspections (will need to possess a certification in Housing Quality Standards)
  • Ability to utilize program specific software such as OneRoof or Neighborly Software
  • Spanish speaker preferred

The position available is regular full-time position and is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for four (4) months should another position become available.
